Introducing VESPER Radar to the Moroccan Market

SHIBLI, alongside BEENET, introduced VESPER, its 2D X-band ground-surveillance radar, to the Moroccan market. The system supports a range of surveillance applications, including border monitoring, perimeter security and the detection of personnel, vehicles and vessels.
VESPER offers 360° mechanical azimuth coverage and a maximum detection range of up to 25 km, depending on target characteristics and operating conditions. Its specified detection capabilities include:
- Walking personnel: Up to 11 km for a radar cross-section (RCS) of 1 m².
- Vehicles: Up to 18 km for an RCS of 5 m².
- Large vehicles and vessels: Up to 25 km for an RCS of 30 m² or greater.
Key features include automatic target tracking, automatic north orientation, single- or multiple-sector scanning, clutter mapping and built-in testing. Ethernet connectivity enables integration with control posts and external systems.
With IP66 weather sealing and a specified operating temperature range of −40°C to +55°C, VESPER is designed for outdoor deployment in demanding environments.
Its introduction provided Moroccan defence and security stakeholders with an opportunity to explore the system’s capabilities and discuss their surveillance requirements with the SHIBLI × BEENET team.
