The Field Application Engineer/ Product Engineer serves as a technical liaison between customers and the company, providing pre- and post-sales support to ensure successful product integration, qualification and customer satisfaction. This role combines technical expertise with customer service to drive product selection, troubleshoot issues, and technical support in sales initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Collaboration:
- Partner with sales team to understand customer needs.
- Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and lead product trials.
Post-Sales Implementation:
- Assist with installation, configuration, and training to ensure optimal product performance.
- Develop technical documentation.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Resolve hardware/software issues that arise during customer field trials.
- Conduct system diagnostics and provide solutions for product integration challenges.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Relay customer feedback to design team to inform future developments.
- Collaborate with design team to address design challenges and improve product features.
Industry Engagement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 50–70% to customer sites, domestically and internationally.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- 2+ years in electronic hardware design, quality control, testing, or manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, Power supplies, logic Analyser) and automated test systems.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware/software systems
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and customer service skills.
